Get vin number from reg plate

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is another website that can be used to get the vin number from the reg plate?

This website worked in the past and now stopped working

Hi there! That was my site, the registration lapsed as it was too expensive for that domain name - the URL has now changed to https://checkmyreg.com

I have to say, I don't like this in the slightest. Without any kind of user-registration it's an open invitation for criminals to have an easy ride cloning a vehicle.

While I agree with you, most modern cars have the VINs displayed under the windscreen, so getting a number plate and VIN combination isn't too difficult.

Great site for checking the spec of a car your looking to buy as you need the last 7 of the VIN that some HPI checks don't give on a full check...👍
