Generally, I'd agree with you, but I think it works well in that particular combo.

Like this a lot, can I ask which wheels these are and if they came out of the factory in that finish?

Garage List
Fitted the winter wheels yesterday evening (haven't been driving much the last 2 weeks and the temperature was still above 10C when I was... finally got round to it now it's low single figures and below).

Fitted the wheel spacers too, 15mm rear, 12mm front.
Got some 10mm and 5mm in the garage so can play around as I decide which works best.

Didn't take any pics in the dark, but did get a few shots as I went out on the bike this morning.

Looking good - did you get any squealing after fitting the spacers? My front left side has a slight squeal (same sound when brake pads are low when pressed against the brake disc) when I'm turning right

Haven't noticed any squealing or scraping noise.

Just a bit of road noise.

But no improvement in ride quality. Going from summer 19s to winter 18s used to be a big comfort improvement. But since ditching the 19 runflats they're just as good as the 18 runflats.

When the tread is worn on these winter wheels I'll go non-runflat on these too.

What's the grey stuff have you applied between the spacers/hubs and spacers wheels?

It's a bit of copper grease, just to stop any corrosion and reducing the chance they'll bind to the brake disc making them impossible to remove again.

I always put a bit of grease on the mating-surfaces, like between the back of the brake disc where it contacts the hub face etc.

Learnt the hard way after having to use a 5lb hammer to get a brake disc off in the past
