Thought about getting used winter tires

Hi all.

I am in NJ-NY area, got 340i, 2017 RWD this year. And this is going to be my first winter here. I am using m sport stock wheels.

I might have to move to other states in a year or two. So I'm thinking of getting a set of used snow tires.

Is there a good website or category here that only deal with selling/buying aftermarket /used snow tires?

And also if there's anyone who is interested in selling theirs, DM me please.

I know many people just choose to have a set of wheels and tires for winter for convenience. But in my case, if I move to area where it doesn't snow a lot, it would be a waste of money.

Thank you. peace

I got a set of wheels and tires off the member classifieds here for my winter setup for my F80. I had to drive about 2 hours to get them, but it was definitely worth the savings and the chance to support fellow members that didn't need them anymore.

I needed the extra set of wheels since I had stock 20" 666Ms which don't have a lot of good winter options so that decision wasn't just convenience for me, but beyond the added convenience, it also reduces the risk of getting your wheels scratched when they mount them twice a year, and saves the mounting/balancing costs twice a year.

If you have the spare cash, it wouldn't be a waste of money, aside for the reduced risk and savings for swapping, there are a lot of people looking for winter setups that would be happy to take them off your hands when you're done. I got a set of 437M wheels and winter tires separately with the combined costs less than $1800 and the tires only had 2000 miles on them. I could easily turn around and sell them for a decent profit now with all of the people looking.

Went to Tire Rack after scouring the internet and got a full setup of wheels and winter tires for $1000. They're not bmw or anything special but they got me through the winter perfectly and look decent enough.
