BMW 330e iperformance kidney grill

I have a 330e on order (to arrive in Feb 2017) and I've just been looking on BMW's website and i have seen some images of the front of the vehicle and they appear to have done the kidney grills blue (in line with their branding of the iperformance range). Can anyone confirm if this is true? Id be mortified if my car comes with a BLUE kidney grill!!!!!

I believe that is correct, since they started using the 'iPerformance' brand the cars will have blue grilles and blue highlight around the roundels (bonnet, boot, wheels).

There has been some chat on the X5 forum as it's not implemented until later this year on the X.

Better get in touch with the dealer and order some M-Performance parts!

You mean blue slats like this?

Easy enough to change them for standard grilles, or black gloss ones preferably.

Quick google shows x5 and 7 series with the blue grille but not a 3er at the moment. Hopefully they it will be a no cost option to change back to black as they look pretty naff imo.

Thanks all. Just been onto BMW in utter panic at the fact that id have blue branding and they said that it comes if you have specified the 'iperformance exterior styling package'

I think it'll be blue like above, there's no part number listed on etk.cc or realoem for the grille so it's probably not filtered through to them yet, but will probably be on new builds: http://www.etk.cc/bmw/EN/search/sele...CE/51/51_3179/

I have always been a fan of understatement. I like the very discrete branding of the 330e. I had two Priui before the 330e and I much prefer the 330e approach of not distinguishing it from the standard F30 except for the slight wording. Sort of like when Paul Newman put a porsche engine in his Beetle.
