I suspect it'll better than watching The Larkins

Reading the TV page where they interviewed the crew, I believe its a bit more car centric this series. Albeit, the advert being shown on TV make it look like much of the same!

Tbh, was better than I expected it to be.

My boy enjoyed the Eddie Kidd section.

A pretty mature start I thought. Track outing with the F1 boys was good, astonishing that Harris came within 1s of Norris at Silverstone, though to be fair I think that was the first time Lando had driven the car.

The Eddie Kidd piece was quite emotional. Rode dirt bikes in the late 70s and early 80s and both he & Kneivel was who everyone wanted to be.

What a fantastic episode! Really hope the rest of the season is as good as that.

Loved the F1 race and the Eddie Kidd piece was emotional and interesting equally.

Sounds like I will have to watch it on catch-up. I had given up hope on TG after the last couple of series. Maybe this one has turned it around.

What a brilliant episode, one of the best for a long time. As mentioned the Eddie Kidd bit was emotional, still got the twinkle in his eyes. A proper legend

The Eddie Kidd piece was very touching, for me one of the best segments of any Top Gear ever.

The Eddie Kidd bit was well done. Such a relatively simple jump after all he had done with such devastating consequences.

Just watched it in a flight. The Eddie Kidd piece was truly exceptional, and had me feeling a bit emotional. Amazing to see him so happy despite what has happened. Takes a lot of courage, resilience and mental strength to be like that, and certainly made me look at life a bit differently.

Possibly one of the best episodes of all time, and who knew Paddy had it in him.

Agree with all the comments regarding the Eddie Kidd piece.
And what guy. Feel for him and what has happened but still has a sense of humour despite never being able to ride a motorbike again.

I have to admit that his presenting style & voice really put me off to start with, but I’m starting to warm to him. Thought he’d really butcher Question of Sport as well but the chemistry between him, the team captains and the celebs is actually pretty good.

Just watched the first episode, really well done and the Eddie Kidd piece at the end made me really emotional, which surprised me as I didn't know anything about him prior to this.

Echo all the comments on the Eddie Kidd piece. Very well done and very emotional.

To think of all the stunts he did it was that stupid landing uphill one that did for him. If only he'd listened to those warning him. You can't defy physics.

He still has that glint in his eye though doesn't he!!

According to this there are 5?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ries)_episodes

Scroll down to near the bottom.

Interesting looking at those episodes over the years regarding viewing figures. When Clarkson and co were doing it they were pulling in 5-6 million. But when they left it dropped to 2-3 million.

Although in the last year, they’ve started to pull it back again to 5-7 million. Shows these latest guys are getting it right finally after a few years.

Another good show - great chemistry in between the three of them.

Shame it's only a 4 episode series.
