IceDriver RGB DRL installation

Hello,

I wonder if anyone have installed their RGB DRL led boards?

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001359667471.html

They come with some pretty unclear instructions.

My main problem is where to get the best power source and ACC power source, was thinking on the fuse box close to the windshield ?

If someone already installed them, can you share some pictures?

Check out these threads.

There's another thread in the F8x about the yellow DRLs where someone installed the RGB version and got into detail but I can't find it.

I'm fairly sure power was run to the fuse box under the hood.

I ordered this kind of fuse adapter to get permanent and acc +12V from the hood fuse box.

My other doubt is about the error thrown with the RGB DRL. I saw on some video that you need to let the original ones plugged in to avoid any error.

From what I gather that is correct. Leave the OEM DRLs plugged in and disable them in the iDrive since the RGB DRLs are controlled with its own module and not via iDrive and OEM functionality.

I'm not sure I can disable the DRL on idrive in european version, as "daylight" is mandatory here now. Will check.
Maybe it can be done with bimmercode.
