Got a link? Thanks!

BTW, one thing about the setup I had, i really liked it in the beginning, but I got tired of it. I was wishing for a more comfortable ride after hahah. I hope the B6 + 18s will make it feel better rather than b14 coilovers and 19s haha

Carparts.com is the site... that's all I got... 19's are terrible for comfort as you well know... 18" which I have are on the edge but i wouldn't do 17"

FastF30 for your reference:

Eibach E10-20-031-05-22...was able to get a pic of the gap.

The first pic is the front.

I assume tire size would also fill in the gap.

IMO 20" is way to big for the fact that you will have basically zero side wall unless you increase tire size which will effect your speedo etc... 19" rides harsh... I have 18" and say it's the thinnest sidewall I'd go if you have chitty roads... If I lived in Florida I'd consider 19"... maybe...

So after reading tons and watching videos etc etc... H&R springs have 1.60 drop (40mm) which I'm at... camber is set to stock measurements... shouldn't be an issue...

lonecitizenfour I think you said the side that failed is the side where the axle support bearing is (passenger side)? I'd highly check that...

Parts don't look to bad of price since aftermarkets came out... check this site...

So, FastF30 and everyone else... I found out what went wrong. The shop that has my car said when I was getting my coilovers installed, the shop that did it (they're guessing) either reused a collar screw or misaligned the end of the splines and made the collar screw snap. It's not nearly low enough to mess with the geometry.

It resulted in the made the axle go all fu**y. Everything else is actually fine...

I'm going to keep my current setup and just get it repaired

Hey guys ... just want to hear if anybody has issues with lowered Xdrives... I just got mine dropped 1-1/2" and just read someone has issues only after 3500miles dropped only 1-1/4" and yes he had an alignment.... your responses would be greatly appreciated...

My Fender height is 25-3/4"Front & 25-7/8"Rear
Hi there
Had mine lowered for the last aprox 65.000km.
No issues at all.
Lowered on ACS springs with the OEM active dampers.
Will probably change to a KW DDC coilover setup in the spring.

One-Million times appreciate this....

Finding good qualified mechanics is very tuff to do that actually know what they are doing when it comes to aftermarket parts... I have had to hold the hands of everyone that has worked on my car... experienced or not... CP install (leaked...they claimed not until I demanded pressure test)... coilovers (had to figure out setup for that specific model).... Makes me very reluctant to upgrade my HPFP or do meth....

Love the look, what components did you use?

THanks GP0256 ,

Eibach pro-kit E10-20-031-05-22 (these are the correct springs as per the German website...the US site indicates a different spring)
Koni SA
F80 M3 bump stops...not the non-US M3 ones (these ones are the same as the ones that come with the F36).

Thanks to johnung FaRKle! and alohasurftoad for all the help.

Second pic was when I had the car slammed all the way down just to see what it would look like. This lasted only a few hours. The ride felt noticeably worse due to less spring travel and I personally don't like the slammed look. It's also stressing the axles when it's that low so I didn't wanna cause any damage.

Hope this helps!
any issues being low on xdrive all these years?

I just spotted this old post. How has your suspension been now after a few years? What dampers did you use with the Eibachs?

I ended up using that same -05 Eibach spring kit on my F30 335i XDrive. The drops are different on my chassis. The 4-Series starts out lower to begin with:
Front 1.4” (35mm), Rear 0.6” (15mm)

On my car the stock reverse rake that BMW builds into the suspension makes the front tire/fender gap about 0.75” more than the rear. So this setup makes the tire/fender gap just about even all of the way around. I’m very happy with it. See photo.

The Eibach -06 kit available in the US and the -05 kit available in Europe use the same rear springs and the same spring rate in the front springs with just different lengths.

I use a German retailer originally recommended by FaRKle!
Excellent service, good prices, quick shipping. Usually receive in less than a week. His email is:
