Actually, that's a lie!
I wish I had chosen electric seats, oh and if only we could have more memory keys as well - 8 is just not enough! Apart from those, my 330d (halfway through run-in after a week) is just bloody amazing. I'm so glad I went for the car, drives like a dream, handles well, engine sounds amazing blah blah :-) Magic lights, HUD, cameras galore, active cruise control, HK stereo, Prof nav - all are just fantastic and let's not forget the smoothness and power delivery as well :-) |

Qu'est-ce que c'est?
Also "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" - in this case a good seat position. If anybody is having doubts, just pull the trigger on electric seats, I wish I had :-( |

Yes, on the manual seats it has taken me 3 weeks to get a comfortable position but it is still not perfect. However, I do have electric seats on my other car but don't think it is worth the £900 ish that BMW want unless you share the driving with someone else.

Congratulation mate, glad you're happy with the car and that's all matters, as my dad always says don't let little stuff get to you, always look at the overall picture Where are the pics?
It's silly spending 40k odd on a car and have to manually adjust your seats. To me it seems more of a necessity over lets say active cruise or HUD simply because it concerns comfort and driving position which are extremely important IMO anyway. Some of you listed it has taken 3 weeks to get the seat position right, then a quick trip to the dealer/car wash/test drive by friends and you're back to square one with adjustments. Personally speaking If i had been more patient I would have waited for the 4 Gran Coupe, works about the same by the time you spec a 3 to the same level, yet still looks much better. Standard electric heated memory seat as standard, that alone is worth £1200 on the 3 as an extra , Xenons as standard, powered tailgate, etc etc.. Give it 2/3 years time I reckon we would be seeing more 4GC than 3's especially in upper models 28, 30, 35 models. the standard 3 would be more aimed at 16, 18, 20..SE/Business edition. Similar to Audi's and their A4's & A5's |

Pics will be coming up in the next few days, however getting back home when it's dark doesn't help :-(
If nothing else, will be this weekend although iPhone pics will happen sooner! Seats are a bit annoying, especially as on short journeys, they are OK. My previous car had manual seats and they were fine so I sort of expected the same here, never mind. |

Once you find the right position and get used to the seat it'be very easy to adjust. I was seriously considering the electric seat option on the new car as my wife and I share the car daily but I like to push the seat all the way back when I get in and out to avoid rubbing the bolster to much and that seems to be too slow with electric with the manual it takes less then 10 second to get it back to my setting even after my wife who adjust height as well. Once you got the routine it's really not a big deal.

Couldn't agree with you more on this point, and one thing i miss from the convertibles I had. BMW Convertibles have the normal adjustment button and a super fast adjustment button to push the seat back and forth and thus that would have solved your issue! |

I have found no issue with the comfort of the manual seat. Set them up pretty instantly and have been fine since.
If there's one thing I wish I'd spec'd, it's comfort access as I'm a lazy bugger and don't like fiddling around for the key in my pocket to open the door. Had it on last car and I've grown too used to it now. Next time. |

No problems with the manual seats (had electric seats before) Took a day to find the perfect setting but apart from that no problems.
The things that I wished had specced are few and far between (maybe front parking sensors, visibility pack and EBT but apart from that I am pretty happy) Alex |

Now I've got memory seats I wouldn't do without!
Wish I'd specced surround view and comfort access. Not sure there are any other extras left I don't have!

I would loooove memory seats, had them on my 330ci and missed them ever since! But £950 I didn't even bother asking how much they'd add to my monthlies!!
Other thing I missed about them is they give you the auto tilt in reverse passenger mirror, but not on my F30, the mirrors are so deep you can see the curb and the sky all at once!! |

Must admit I wish I'd specced surround view but I really pride myself on my parallel & reverse parking and had run out of budget. |

There is no chance of bricking the car as long as you follow the guides (and don't click the code defaults button, which is greyed out virtually all the time anyway!)
