Good afternoon, everyone.
First of all I would like to thank you for some support that can be given since the topic focuses on a Mini and not a BMW, although technically they are identical situations.
This whole theme is new to me, but I was forced to get more information because since last week my F56 with production date 10/18 no longer allow access to carplay. I point out that the car has never had navigation available, although it can activate gps location in the car menu and use location information in the mini app. I spoke to BMW, where I was told that the car should not have carplay because it does not have the characteristics (code) from factory (order building mistake?). but in reality carplay always worked until last week. At this time I have no possible solution but to stay as is, that is, without carplay. It is a very useful feature and allows to raise the safety levels in driving. I've read a few things about FSC code here, which for those who don't understand the subject leaves a lot of questions. Do my car need to be re-registered with the FSC code 0143? Can it eventually be activated remotely? I talked to 2 people who do coding in my country, both tell me that without navigation it is impossible to have carplay ! I get even more confused because I've always had carplay active and never had navigation available. As in many lifelong situations, I am willing to learn codification in these cars, not only to solve my problem but also what someone might have in the future.
