FWIW I dilute 125ml into 850ml of warm water; I've found that to be the best mix

I also use this snowfoam canon with my Nilfisk power washer and DirectHoses short trigger with quick connection:

But this ProKleen one is also very good

On the subject of crap snow foams, don't bother with the Simoniz or the Halfords 'advanced' snow foams. The former is basically shampoo and the latter, whilst it does create foam, the foam does nothing and leaves the dirt where it was before it was applied. Back to AG Polar Blast to relive foam parties in my younger days

Now where can I ethically dispose of the useless snow foams, where my wife won't find them.

Hi Dan, just wondered if you'd tried the Nilfisk own snowfoam attachment (not the poor standard one but the adjustable one you can get) and if so how does it compare with the one you use? I also use the BH snowfoam with a Nilfish pressure washer and find it's a bit thin and drops off the car quite quickly. Thanks

I haven't sorry; always stuck with the ones I've linked to and added the quick connect from DirectHoses etc

Re BH; it is thinner than the rest on the market; but it works brilliantly. It's meant to run off the car as it does that and drags the dirt with it; apply from the bottom up etc

With that I dilute 150ml to 850ml of warm water in my snowfoam cannons and find that to be the best solution

Warm water really helps with snowfoam; but so does a good snowfoam canon

I never use anything from Halfrauds; the only one we have is the wrong side of town for me and it means mingling with the public

Well DanB I have finally learned the lesson that time saved by not visiting Halfords, just means that I'll have to find another store to visit when the wife is in Hobby Craft which is next door.

Cheers Dan, will try using warm water when I dilute to see if that makes a difference.

Don't buy it from Amazon. Do your research for the best price. I usually buy them from CleanYourCar or in2detailing.

I prefer Touchless 2.0 over Autofoam personally. I used Touchless on 3 months' worth of grime and dirt and it cut through it like nothing. I let it dwell for about 5 minutes and I used warm water in my foam cannon (MTM).

Like you I generally get it from in2detailing; Autofoam only £19 here:

https://www.in2detailing.co.uk/produ...32327790526543

Amazon prices are daft at times; but they do get offers on though which can be good.

I'm not a fan of Touchless though; just don't think it does as good a job as the Autofoam; but it is better than Polar Blast and the Gtechniq stuff (just using that for quick washes now to get it used up)

Hi Dan, I have a Nilfisk pressure washer also ... does that Galaxyer foam sprayer fit it without any extra adaptors?

No; it has the quick fit connection; so you'd need something like the short trigger from DirectHoses

The ProKleen snowfoam canon is a direct fit FYI - it's very good too

This is the DirectHoses kit I have (well; this is the newer version):

https://www.directhoses.net/products...28568997757006

It's brilliant and much better than the Nilfisk nozzle/lance etc

Dan, off topic but is this 'rubber' hose you have Flexible in the cold? the standard one on my Nilfish PW is a pain as when you pull it out straight off the reel then walk around with the lance it coils itself back up on the ground and tangles around your feet !!
Ta!

Yes absolutely; that's why I got it as the Nilfisk ones are shite at best and as you said stiff...

I don't have a reel on my Nilfisk; so I just loop the hose around the holder on the back; I disconnect the short trigger and let it drain properly etc. I don't disconnect the main fitting at the bottom though

Thanks danb1979 and Solenoidal for your conflicting thoughts lol!

I found this review on the yoochoobs that seems pretty balanced. I can summarise it for all reading: They're more or less the same, but auto foam is 10 quid cheaper. So there's the winner 😊

Yup; everyone has their go-to's...

I just stick (usually) with what's worked for me and find that AutoFoam, AGs Polar Blast and Valet Pro's snowfoam have worked the best:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ValetPRO-Ne.../dp/B00JS9IRSQ

KKDs snowfoam is good too; nopt cheap though:

https://www.in2detailing.co.uk/produ...32326716260431

For me though; the pre-clean with something like Koch Chemie Green Star or Valet Pro's Citrus pre-cleaner works superbly before the snowfoam... I tend to saturate the lower quarter of the car, the wheels and wheel arches/tailgate/front bumper etc; where the grime really sticks

I'm not a machine polisher really; every so often I'll go over the cars with my DA and something like Koch Chemie 6.01 and a Lake Country blue pad etc:

https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/koch-...one-cut-finish

But I use AGs Rapid Ceramic Spray or their Polar Seal for the longer coating and they work well too
