Limited Slip Diff

Has anyone come across any viable upgrades for the diff? I really want an LSD swap as I think that would really liven up the car!

As of now, looks to be not yet. When it does hit, prepare to spend $2500-4k installed lol.

I have now been running a Quaife LSD on my F30 335i MS for two weeks including one track day and it really changes the car! Now the car performs as it should and is MUCH more fun and predictable to drive.

I don't see an application for BMW... Which are you using?

Per the Turner link:

We are currently testing this unit and will have it available for other F30 owners soon.

I worked with Birdsauto (http://www.birdsauto.com/) to get it done. It uses the same Quaife unit as the E9x 335i but requires a thicker shim than the E9x does. And yes itīs a welded unit so it requires machining to get it done.

I'd love to get my hands on a Quaife!

Any rough estimate on the $$$ value for this?

Henri, what mode are you tracking your car in...Sport+ OR are you holding down the traction control button for 5 seconds to turn it off completely (but, then you'll only have the throttle response of comfort mode)

Just curious, thanks!

My best guess is around 2500-3000$

I used sport+ for most of the time and it works much better than without the Quaife. But off course I drove with the DSC turned off too. I have the Bilstein B16 PSS10 coilovers and together with the LSD they have made the car much more dynamic and fun to drive.

F30/32 LSD has been around for a while. 335i auto is a direct bolt-in(need to verify VIN) and manuals are welded and require machine work, which adds another $1000 to the price of the LSD.
