4 series convertible seat belt comfort

I rented a 430i convertible while in California and quite liked it, especially the hard top, which is going away I believe in the next generation.

The big negative though was the seat belts, which have the shoulder attachment point as part of the seat. In the rental it rubbed my neck and shoulder and was quite annoying and uncomfortable. Has anyone else had this experience?

I've had a '15 435 convertible for about 4 months. I haven't noticed any discomfort with the seat belts. I'm on the heavier side, but it hasn't been an issue.

Is this a problem for shorter people? I say this as the height isn’t adjustable like it is in most cars and my wife complains about her belt in my f30 rubbing on her neck.

No issues here since Jan 15. I prefer the belt in the seat.

6 foot is not what I would regard as short. My wife is around 5’ 2” 😀

I’m called shorty at work. My gf is 5’2 / 95#. My 16 yr old daughter is taller/heavier.

Any windows that need going in or holes in walls to breach, etc. I go. My shift of eight officers has two people shorter but heavier than me (supervisors, so they don’t do anything anyways) and the other five on my shift are taller and heavier than me. No one wants to fight with my shift. Wonder why?

The newest officer we hired is 6 and she can hold her own.

The seatbelt position is just perfectly positioned for me.

I am 5' 9" and average build. The seat belts in my 2016 330e sedan are perfect and cause me no issues. The seat belts in the convertible just seemed really snug, like I was fighting them the whole time.
