BM3 B48 30i Update - More Power?

Hi,

I'm surprised that there hasn't been any threads on this so far.....

Bootmod3 have released an updated version for the B48-F-L (30i models) OTS Maps. The update includes the below:

Version 2.0, November 16 2020:
- New torque structure
- Ignition timing revised
- Boost control revised
- Power increase

What are peoples thoughts on this? 30i owners who have tried this, have you noticed any significant improvements/gains?

I own a b48 320i, so eagerly holding tight for B48-F-H update.

yeah, i posted in the other thread. i did it as soon as it was announced. i noticed more low end power, smoother delivery, and butt dyno says it's faster. i don't feel like dropping $150 for some dyno time to see how much it improved.

only did two launch control runs and it felt better.
now it's snowing so i won't push too hard

I flashed it the same day. I was Stage 1 E30 but went to Stage 1 ACN91 to clean out the ethanol. Car feels better than it did on the previous E30! Power delivery in lower RPM's is there and a more aggressive launch. I will be switching back to E30 in a day or so to feel more power, might be going to get dyno'd again next month.

Ahh yeah, I did see that after scavenging through the threads.

That does sound very promising. The update to B48-F-H (for 320i) was just released. Just flashed it; looking forward to taking it out for a spin later.
Will report back once I do, but not sure if I'll be able to give a good comparison as I haven't driven the car in the past week, so forgot what the previous iteration of the map felt like

And cheers to everyone else for the feedback

Do share your experience. I just flashed the update on my car too. Will take it out for a spin tomorrow morning. I am curious to see the improvements that they've made in the ignition timing structure. I have been running the 91ACN map due to low quality fuel (even though its advertised as 99RON) and was wondering if the new update will allow me to run the 91octane map. My ACN91 datalogs have little to no timing corrections at all right now but in the 91 map i get -3 and -2.3 degrees of correction and sometimes even -4.5/ Should i continue with 91ACN? Please do advise.

UPDATE: Just went out for a spin in the car with the new update. Car feels so much smoother, earlier the torque came as a shove but now its much more linear and more torque is available in the lower rev range. Power is certainly increased between 5-7k rpm. I'm extremely happy with the tune even if its just a 91ACN map.
