To be honest this is no different imo. Yes the BEF will give the jb4 less to do with regards to boost targeting but the same ‘problem’ exists for me in that there’s no communication between the DME and the meth system. For me the fact that bm3 are releasing DME integration for secondary fuelling should make it the only option.

If I ever go bigger turbo I’d need more fuel than my Dorch stage 1, I’d definitely consider a meth system with this canbus upgrade for a bit more fuel and iat control 🙂

Man this car is finicky about it's ethanol... was down to a 1/2 tank of E20... I was only supposed to put in 1.05gallons of "E85" but just wanted to see how much I could get a way with... so I put 1.2 gallons in and 6.7 gallons of gas (surprised how accurate the gas gauge is) in the car... I found a beautiful 4 lane wide street under the freeway bridge with no cross traffic, fencing on both sides and all by myself... like a dream...lol..... surprised again I could rip thru all the way of 3rd gear and had more than plenty of room to stop for the next light here in Mexico... well ... the car didn't like it... so gotta drive enough now to drop a gallon or 2 in it.... see graph....

P.s. thejeremyman9 ... My torque Nm's are like yours now since I uploaded XHP....

Any reason this topic has been moved to "Exhaust Modifications"?

I run e50 everytime I fill up and have run up to e60 on both a stage 2 (Walbro) LPFP and on stock LPFP for the past year. The fuel demand will crash my stock HPFP occasionally at wot on map 7 but no issues with my stock LPFP capacity.

I was looking at the Dorsch2 but I was not sure if it could support e50 @ 700hp, any thoughts?

700 crank HP? Your best bet is to read kfardan's thread. I see you posted there, its probably your most direct comparison.

thank you! My turbo upgrade was delayed for so many reasons but I want to make the best decision between HPFP upgrade and PI.

Finally got to do some pulls with my new plugs... I'm very very Happy... .... It pulled like a MONSTER! .... I did 2 pulls back to back... one in 3rd gear and one in 4th gear... 3rd gear pulled unbelievable.... never had it pull like that!... My E20 mix is almost perfect... 1/2 gallon more should do it...I also added 8oz Boostane cause timing wasn't so great on a short pull I did earlier... dips in horsepower/ Torque Nms correlates with dips in Fuel pressure...

Old plugs ambient pressure was 15.0... New plugs AP is 14.85... this matters alot IMO... if pressure was exact at 15.0 for both we would see better gains new plugs... I attached logs old/new and HP graph.... both sets of 3rd/4th logs were taken back to back on that day... same exact road both times...

Blue is old plugs 4th Gear
Red is new plugs 4th Gear
Green is old plugs 3rd Gear
Orange is new plugs 3rd Gear

NICE!!!

E20 for me is where it's at with the stock HPFP. Anything over and it crashes. What plugs and GAP did you use?

Plugs are NGK 97506.... .022 gap.... there is now a NGK 97506KT which looks like it's an upgraded washer... figures...

Boostane really helps a lot... the guys in the video dump a whole 32oz in the tank when they do it... lol... I only did 8oz per tank but if you need more just add it until you get clean timing .... I'd stop 12 oz to be honest if your running 93octane...anything more for this tune better start looking other places.. plugs, coils, etc....

I tried those NGK's and had a bad issue with them... Switched back to OEM plugs at stock GAP and no issues so far. I bought the NGK's from FCP Euro so I know they were genuine. Hopefully you'll have better luck with them.

aaah... what kind of issues... if I was to redo this I'd probably just stick to stock... most of driving is just putting around... don't think it needs it... maybe for track use... seems from old logs to new logs I should probably replace the coils.. #2 always seems to be an issue... Maybe throw meth on it this spring... we'll see how bitcoin works out first...lol...

I blew an insulator straight off of one of the plugs racing an Audi S4. Stopped at a light and car was rough idling bad. Limped home, pulled the plugs and saw the carnage LoL.

You know what's weird, the car was running great also. No signs of any issues and no breakups at WOT. Just BAM, drivetrain malfunction.

Guys quick question... I have to bring my car in for a valve cover gasket replacement under warranty and wanted to flash BM3 back to stock and lock. Problem is I have E20 in the tank (a little less than 3/4 tank). Can I flash back to stock and lock with E20 in the tank without any detrimental issues?

I would either reschedule for about 1 week out to burn off another 1/4 tank. Or you can top off with 93 and flash back to stock. Lastly, you could just leave everything as is because replacing the valve cover would not involve anything with the ecu.
