Probably a similar impact on insurance.

I do appreciate your work Gordon but that's just too much for me.
No worries Richard, I guess the brake thing makes a big difference, made worse by the fitting. Personally I would have fitted the brakes myself, and the inter-cooler, then had BMW finish it off.

Well really it's keep it standard or tuning box. The BMW option is priced out of the equation. Shame there are no third party remaps available.

The only other upgrade I would have done is the Hartge one as I would trust them to know BMW systems better than a generic tuner, but the voided warranty would worry me, especially as we have members that have had ZF8's replaced.

Absolutely, my dealer, like most dealers, parts and service are two different departments, so there is no 'we have to sell the kit to fit it' mentality.

I can understand a service department trying to avoid a 15 minute grill fit job though.

If you do this upgrade around the time your discs need replacing, you're getting a very decent deal.

I was a bit disappointed with them but they have been tolerant of my order changing so it's not all bad. I can fit them no problem, I just fancied seeing it for the first time with the black grilles on...

Are there are metrics on what it does to the 0-60 time? Etc.

Just to be 100% clear Nisfan is saying that there are 2 separate kits! Reason I question is that parts alone for the brake upgrade when ordered separately come in at over £1200! Looks more like you need to spend 950 + 1260 to get the parts for the 330d without the msport/perf brakes! Can anyone clarify this? I can't imagine BMW will sell you the power kit with brake upgrade for only1260!

Do these kits fit the x-drive variants as well?

The £1260 power kit come with front brakes only, but they are M performance. Cheap as chips, although no idea if you get to choose a colour, they might just be silver to match standard rears.

And it's not £1260, the RRP is £1600.

Now that seems reasonably good VFM for BMW. And if they throw in the labour charge for free, then Bob's your gay uncle and Charlie's your hairy aunt.

Maybe not. I'll be going for it so if my dealer doesn't come up with the goods I'll be asking for one depending on shipping costs to NI
