New F34 330d owner as of Thursday

Morning all,

I've always found forums useful. So hoping this will be no different with my first BMW.

Due to collect my 2016 LCI F34 330d M-Sport on Thursday. Nicely specced with heated seats and wheel, HK sound, adaptive LED, surround camera and 598 wheels. I've already ordered an 8.8" screen, apparently pro nav was a step too far on the options list originally 😂

She's sat on 85k. But has FBMWSH every 10k or so at Park Lane. And was an absolute steal after the part ex price I was offered.

Replacing a Kia Sportage GT 2.0 AWD we got just under a year ago. Nothing wrong with the KIA particularly. Just doesn't excite me at all. And I've always liked wagons with more power. Having had a mapped V60 D5 and V6 derv Audi A4 B8.

Seriously impressed with the rear passenger space for the kids and the huge load space.

Question about the boot though. Mine seems to have rails in the boot. Very few on AT seem to. Struggling to find any load dividers online that slot into the rails?

There should of been a couple sliding tiedown points the mount into the rails.
Haven't seen any standing dividers though.

Enjoy the new ride.

No dividers, that's not the purpose of the slots. They're to allow the mentioned tie downs to be moved to different positions. I've never used the tie downs.

The adaptive fixing system part number 51477294566 is listed on realoem as being compatible with the F34. Mine just has the two moveable tie down hooks, handy to combine with a luggage net.

Interesting, I've never seen that before. It wasn't listed in the BMW-USA accessories catalog when I bought my F34. If it had been I might have been tempted to get one. I know now if I had gotten one it would have spent the last six years sitting in my garage.

That is interesting but I think the mat would be a handier accessory. At least mine is to me.
It keeps things from sliding around a bit and will contain a spill.

No worries, RealOEM lists a few more accessories as well. Worth having a look

Love the trunk mat! Makes the hatch area look a lot nicer.
