OP already said he tried to use thinner. Windshield is a lot easier to clean with harsh cleaners than paint, right?

Based on the lack of information provided by the OP, I assumed that he tried washing the car first and the marks that can't be removed are only left on the paint. He did say that he tried cleaning it off. That's why I say it looks like bird crap that's sat on the paint and has caused damage.

I can confirm.......that this is very odd.

How is it only on the painted surfaces? Doesn't appear to be on the trim pieces either, let alone the glass. Some of those spots in that second image look like some form of liquid splatter don't they? The thought crossed my mind of some type of acid spill or splatter like HCL or muriatic which would definitely mean that is bubbled paint and not tree sap. Where is Walter White when we need him?
