BM3 Car will not rev past 3500 while stationary
I was revving my car and noticed that the car limits it to 3500 rpm which it has never done before. I have a bootmod3 stage 2 91 octane tune on it and I reflashed it and the problem was briefly solved but came back recently. Nothing else seems wrong I was just concerned if this was a sign of a problem.

Wow I didn't even think of that. I guess that you have to be in neutral to rev all the way out, right? I'll go test it out in neutral and report back.

Put it in neutral and hold the throttle 100% for 15 to 30 seconds. Do not let off.

Update: XutvJet was correct, it was just the launch control feature kicking in. The car revs perfectly when in neutral.
One thing I learned from this: ProTuningFreaks customer support could use a LOT of work. Kept trying to blow it off as the car being too cold after I repeatedly tried to explain that the car had been running for over an hour and was at full operating temp. |
