Hi, i have 8.8 oem screen in my 2015 316i.
If i want to do this i drive controller mod upgrade, it will work fine?
Now i have the stock 5 button controller.

I let others more knowledgebase chime in, but let me start. If your car is already CAN2 and equipped with the proper module for the 7-button controller then it's plug and play. At least without the touch option. May need some minor coding. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1334068

Otherwise, like in my case with a CIC HU CAN1 retrofitted to NBT HU, I had to buy an iController touch module and a Y-cable. There are some threads that show you what connector needs to be modified for the Y-cable and where the module plugs in.

I am still working on my project and have not reached to the iController yet, but should be there in the next two weeks.

I have NBT, my car is from 11/2014.
The UP and DOWN arrows will work?

I did not install mine yet, but based on what others are saying all works except the touch option needs the emulator or an OEM touch module + extra wiring.
