My new F31. Really impressed!
I bought a 2016 F31 320i 'luxury' model a few weeks ago. I bought it because I wanted a manual estate and it was the best of the very few I could find. Extremely low mileage and a great service history; both are very important to me.
It isn't a 'whizz bang' monster, it hasn't got much spec (no heated seats, xenons, halos, or even folding mirrors) but I am really impressed. It's no 340i but was half the cost. The softer suspension suits the car IMO and as an everyday practical estate it is really, really good. I got an average of 50.3 mpg on a 120 mile run yesterday; all 'A' roads and going through Grantham and around Nottingham (twice). The B48 is so much better in all departments than the N20 (got one of those aswell). I have had much more expensive BMWs, I have had much bigger estate cars, but I haven't had the balance of fun vs practicality vs cost for a long time. Happy days! |

Congratulations!
That sounds like a brilliant vehicle, I wish South Africa received the F31, they are such great cars! |

Sweet - big question is will you be leaving it "stock" mate?

Yes probably. It would be too difficult and expensive to make it look like an 'M sport' or more. I may 'wrap' the chrome trims, as there are lots of them and they have been damaged with some cleaning chemicals so don't look shiny.
It's a workhorse. I would like xenons and possibly different wheels but it probably won't happen. I am seriously thinking about a remap, which will liven it up a bit for not much money, but the insurance industry has decided it makes me the devil! |
