Changing square to staggered wheels?

I have 18" square set up wheels (225 width) on my F31. I am thinking about changing them for some used 18" staggered (225 and 255) wheels.

The car is 2wd. I presume there are no issues, apart from keeping rolling radiuses similar with a potential change in profile on the rears. Is this correct?

If I do change them I will check rolling sizes on willtheyfit.com to make sure all is good with the DSC, speedo etc.

no issues, straight swap. for 18's you'll need:

225/45
255/40

Did exactly this on my f10, went from 17” square to 18” staggered, no issues whatsoever

Thanks for the advice.
I have 416 wheels which I will tidy up and maybe see if ahmedb can do me a px.
They have brand new cheap RFTs on the rears and nearly new Pirelli RFTs on the front.

I have a set of staggered 442m's if you're interested, yes I know they are 19's but just putting it out there. Think one has a scuff but from memory other are fine. They are in my storage so will check if interested?

Thanks mate. I really don't want 19s or diamond cut TBH. Tyres are expensive for 19s and diamond cut are too high maintenance and I wouldn't want to paint them.
Thanks anyway.

Yup, can be easily done. Some of the BMW wheels that are square sets are actually 18x8 ET34 wheels with 225/45-18 tires. They often make the same wheel for a staggered setup. So it is 18x8.5” ET47. If that’s the case, you could buy two wheels that size for the rear and mount 255/40-18 tires on them.

If you cannot find just two wheels for the rear, then buy a whole staggered set and sell four wheels as a square setup. Many people look for them as a winter set
