deepsrd Thanks a lot for confirming this.
- I wonder why there are essentially 3 diff part number (codes) to get the same function? do you have any clarity on that? - I'm looking to code this without a launcher, having never plugged in esys to an OBD2 perviously. Any tips, or must do's/ do NOT do's? I was planning to follow the SLI guide from BimmerDoc's YT channel (in case you're familiar) Thanks again. |

With part numbers, as long they say 'exchangable' or something similar in realoem, they can be interchanged. The SLI guide is in this very thread.. Read from start You do not need an Esys launcher to import FSC and VO code. If you have not used Esys before, have a good read on the help documents.. As long as you do not Flash any modules, coding wont do much harm.. Remember, Esys is a very much a dev tool, means, it wont warn you much if you are doing anything wrong. But as long as you stick to the simple stuff(VO code, FDL code, FSC import), you should be fine. But do read up!

Top Man! Thanks a lot. I'll do my diligence for sure! I read that some people had varying successes (in your case seems like a doddle and the instructions appear to follow the YT tutorial), with some others needing to flash the entire Kafas2 ECU with the full database. Though, I couldn't work out why that was required in their cases? I'm hoping mine is straight forward. *buttcheeks tightly clenched* |

The link you've provided states it is for an Unlock code for FSC for the G series. part no. 66502456865 I have seen this https://www.baum-bmwshop24.de/bmw-fs...729/?locale=en - Which states is for the F series. Do you see any percieved differences between the two codes: one is an unlock, and the other is a release code (might just be google translate having trouble) I'm interested to know how the G series part you suggested worked for your F33? And if I should be ordering the F series version (I have a 6WB instrument cluster on a 2019 F31) Wondering if the G and later series F share any ECUs, that would mean getting the G series code would be the better option?? (Though, I think it is risky to get a part/code that states it is not intended for my vehicle) Thanks in advance for walking me through this maze of trepidation Last edited by LionZion; 08-22-2023 at 03:04 AM.. I ordered the following code: 66502444948 from Baum https://www.baum-bmwshop24.de/bmw-fs...406/?locale=en They emailed me the FSC code the following day. I used the following tutorial from BimmerDoc on youtube: All the necessary steps are included, and felt comfortable following these clear instructions. Thanks to all that contributed to the thread too. I read it from top to bottom several times. Happy to report, that the import of the FSC and coding were all successful and my cluster shows the speed limit sign in all its glory. Thanks all |

Hi
At F45 it gives an 8TH error. 8TH must be replaced with 5AS and otherwise everything exactly according to the video above from the user LionZion. Tested on my 218d F45 ACTIVE TOURER. I don't have the FSC yet, but it added the Speed Limit Info option and shows three dashes on the dash and HUD |
