Best wipers?

Thought I had seen a thread about this - but can’t find it!

What are the best wipers for the F3x (F31 if it makes a difference!)

Need to replace mine and looking for the best option

Usually Valeo silencio or Bosch aerotwin for me. Find Valeo to be best but comes down to price difference between the two at the time.

I was going to buy Bosch, but a lot of people recommended Valeo! Apparently they are the OE wipers.

I got a genuine set from BMW for £40 which I didn't think was too bad looking at the cost of the Bosch/Valeo ones elsewhere

I've always bought Bosch.

With a good ceramic coating on the windscreen as well 👌

£40 for wiper blades, not too bad?

You can get Valeo for about £16 delivered from carparts4less.co.uk.

Apparently, Valeo make the BMW OEM blades. This is obvious when you compare the two sets side by side, as I did when I bought them for my 3 series. The Valeo ones are less than half the price.

Photos are the original blades compared to the Valeo ones. The only different it the Valeo white writing, which I covered with a black perminant marker pen.

Yeah I'm sure they're the same but when I last looked they were nearly £40 from Euro car parts so just got the OEM ones. For how long they last I'm not fussed about spending the money

I'd vouch for the Silencio too, although can't comment on longevity. That said, I never found the Bosch Aero blades to be poor on either my Impreza or CRV and found them to last about 25k quite easily without any drama despite being used in fairly crappy conditions a lot, although more weather related than road grime which may have helped keep them in good nick. The same couldn't be said for the old style frames which wore at the points where the metal frame held the blade itself.

Another vote for the Valeo's from me, decent price from Eurocarparts when I go them a couple of months back.

I was mixed between the valeo and aerotwins... Went with aerotwins and inituialy they were noisy and started to skip on my window (ceramic coated) I thought no! what have a done but after about 2 weeks of use they have went back to performing completly normal.

Think with ether you wont go wrong and tbh id go with the cheaper ones at the time, i think i got mine in a sale for £17!

Seems OEM and Valeo ones are quite hard to get locally to me lol.

Just looked at Valeo Silencio, with the discount code on carparts4less. £16.34 with free delivery.

They dont come up when I put my Reg in.

Edit: Just looked, it says I need 24in and 18in, but these are 24in and 19in.

Will that matter?

That issue was briefly discussed here.

Not much of a conclusion though. Might be best to just go Bosch.

Mine's a 4 series too. The 19" passenger side wiper fits fine (to replace the stock 18" one).
Don't use your reg, search the part number VM371.

I got Bosch Aeros but threw them away after a week as they were so noisy and juddery.

Put some new Valeo Silencios on and will only ever use those in the future.

Someone should turn this thread into a sticky - as the wiper question seems to get asked monthly!

Those are the ones for a 3 series. 4 series are different ones.
