Apple CarPlay Full Screen mode

I have the official Carplay purchased thru Conmected Drive Store, on a BMW G3 and the firmware I have is NBT Evo_Y

Can I activate full screen with Bimmercode ? /U]

On Bimmercode expert mode type in

"Carplay_Fullscreen" and set to Aktiv used to be the way to do it.
i believe the version has to be NBTevo_X for this.

Primarily There are other ways to activate to Fullscreen

NBTevo_N version and higher can be easily done through a 10 minute process with ENET cable

any version below "N" will need NBT update

I am a newby here with a 2018 F31. It has a screen with a built in GPS.
I noticed that the stuff on that screen is only in the middle and there is an area unused.
Are you guys saying that I could change the display to use the full size of the screen? I don't understand where you find the versions etc.
I have the OBD2 adaptor and a bimmercode subscription because I wanted to enable the mirrors folding on lock and the cornering lights, both were successful.
I don't need the Apple bit as my android phone seems to connect and shows, and lets me control, Spotify and BBC sounds on the screen and with the steering wheel controls.
Anyone willing to guide me through the possibilities please?

Further to my last message: I have just been out to the car and put a film DVD in and it does not recognise it. I then put some MP4 video files onto a USB stick and tried that in the car, it plays the sound track but shows nothing from the video.

You just need a windows Pc and ENET cable.

You can just flash NBT EVO with latest PSDZ Data which takes you to Version Y then just use bimmercode to make fullscreen

Quick easy free solution!

However if used third party to activate CarPlay in the first place then you will loose CarPlay, IF OEM CARPLAY IT WILL NOT BE AFFECTED!

I've been reading this thread for a while but this is my first time posting. I have an OBD adapter and wanted to use bimmercode to make my Carplay fullscreen but it gave me the white box because I only have NBTEVO_W so from reading this thread I guess I need to update my firmware but am not really sure how to do that once i get the ENET cable and didn't really want to pay someone a bunch of money to do it for me if there was instructions on how I could do it myself or get it done for cheap? It bothers me how the Carplay is not fullscreen lol.
