How to determine if steering wheel has heating?

I'm looking at purchasing a sport line steering wheel with paddle shifters off eBay, but can't tell if the steering wheel has the heating element or not. Is there an easy way for the seller to determine if it has heating or not? My current steering wheel has heating and would like to not lose that functionality.

Thanks in advance

EDIT: The steering wheel was not on the vehicle, so the obvious solution of checking for the heating button is out of the question :P

This is how the seller can check for you if it has heating function: ask the seller to start the car presses the steering wheel heater button if it has one and then places hands on the steering wheel and waits if it gets warm then it has heating if does not get warm then it doesn't have it or is not working. the VIN number code may also tell you

The clue would be if the seller's car does NOT have a steering wheel heater button on the side of the column, then his steering wheel would not have the heating element.

+1. If you don't have access to the car to check for the button, but do have the VIN number use this site:

Other way to check is if the steering wheel has the proper electronics module part number which supports heating - should be the following part numbers:

With Heating and Vibration
61319218379
61317468008

With Heating ONLY
61319218381
61317468009

I actually happen to have a Sport Line steering wheel with heating, paddles and vibration motor for sale

You went on to describe having them determine if the steering wheel warmed up when the button was depressed...I'm guessing you meant just to verify that it's working correctly.

Hey so I bought a wheel with Heat and paddles and my car is equipped with lane assist, do I have to buy any additional harness of some sort for the vibro motor?
