given the current DVLA state of affairs, it could have been that the V5 was in a pile of documents in swansea.
It wasn't road worthy as it was a half assed cut and shut from some chop shop in the west midlands built with stolen parts and then "flexed" round car shows by the criminal that put it together, it was everything that is wrong with much of todays car scene i.e. chaved up and stolen.

As for your comments about the F80 chassis vs the F30 well they don't give it different chassis designation for nothing...

It is said to heave been two different cars welded together (and I think you mentioned that in an earlier post)... One of the more recent posts in the Pistonheads forum is purported to be from somebody who actually saw the car and they mentioned welding around the B-Pillar... So that does not sound, to me, like one shell with panels tacked on...

That same poster also talks about the recycling required...

I think half the problem with the whole discussion is that a lot of folk talking about this seem to simply want to disbelieve the Police in this... Yet there is (as far as I can see) no verifiable information to support any other view... The pistonheads thread is longer...

"It seems like the guy who owned it is really unlucky, not only did he find himself in possession of a car made from stolen parts, he shares his name with someone in the same city who was convicted of stealing performance cars like BMWs.

That's some seriously bad luck!"

I think the police were first alerted to it as it flagged up as a 320d on the anpr, then checked the engine and it was a m3 engine, then checked a number somewhere on the engine or chassis which came back as from a stolen car. Sure wmp also said in the video the chassis was two cars welded together and other parts were traced back to 3 separate stolen cars.

This isn’t just a case of buying a part on eBay that happens to be stolen unknown to you. Guys a prick in my eyes.

Considering the owner was arrested for stealing high performance BMWs including a 2015 m3….
