Hi Guys

I’ve done the retrofit of the power folding mirrors on to my f30. However when running ISTA+ reports that the FEM has 4 error codes.

804341 - Exterior mirror sensor, loeft or right: open circuit or short circuit to B+
D90D06 - Switch block on driver's door: wrong version installed
D90D0B - Exterior mirror, left (LIN): Unexpected LIN_slave
D90D0F - Exterior mirror, right (LIN): Unexpected LIN_slave

Has anyone else experienced this and if so what did you do to fix the errors.

I’ve searched the forum but nothing came up matching this issue.

Did you ever sort this? Im getting some similar errors after my retrofit.

Even after double and triple checking wiring & coding my passenger mirror is still not operating which is annoying

Hi, I used BimmerCode app on my phone and connected to the car via OBD. Then ensured the powerfold feature was switched on.. I think the errors were still there but doesn’t affect the functionality. I don’t remember the exact steps.

When you retrofitted the powerfold mirrors, have you added any VO codes and coded the effected modules?

I didn’t carry out any coding. Once the mirrors were fitted, I just used BimmerCode to enable the feature.

Hi, I never resolved this. The mirrors work fine with these error codes so I just left it.

I think in order to get rid of wrong version you need to VO code the car so it thinks it should have the folding mirrors switch, just activating in Bimmercode is not enough. Depends how much you care!

With some help solved it. The problem was the HKL which my car does not have. I just blindly copied this one line:

(01)PF_SZT_LIN_VAR -> SZT_HIGH_4FACH_FH_SPA_HKL (0A)

This is what I had before I coded the car:

(01)PF_SZT_LIN_VAR -> SZT_LOW_4FACH_FH_LL

And this is what I coded with now, and it worked first time:

(01)PF_SZT_LIN_VAR -> SZT_HIGH_4FACH_FH_SPA

Your car is probably different, so make sure that you only code the car with the features that you have. HKL is some sort of an automatic trunk opener. I used Binmercode.
