Usually tomato sauce personally!

On a serious note I've used OEM touch-up-paint with Langka Blob Eliminator with great success. I've never personally tried chipex or drchipsaway but have heard positive and negative things about both. Think its whether or not you're prepared to put in the time (or let someone else (we have chipsaway in the UK). It took about 2 days to full do the chips I had with multiple coats of paint and then rubbing them down using the blob eliminator. Don't expect perfect results with any of them instantly, but with time and patience you can remove them to a degree that if you weren't looking for the chip, you wouldn't know it was there.

I've used Dr. Colorchip (drcolorchip.com) with great success on my last 3 cars.

"Chips" aren't used any more like they were in the 1990s where you opened the ECU and replaced the factory EPROM firmware with another EPROM with altered parameters. Burger Tuning has a diesel module, and there are likely others out there. Maybe someone on this forum has installed one on their BMW diesel engine?

If you do a search you'll find most of the claims made for them are patently false. If it was that simple to get better performance BMW would offer them.
