So what is happening when the boot animation should be played? Do you still see the same animation as you had before or is there something different like spinning loading wheel?

No, I'm not seeing any animation and I noticed that the time of the boot image is longer than before.
Below is the procedure that I used.
I choose 1280x480 and downloaded it as ZIP then put it into the OEM folder of the thumbstick. Then I put the stick in the system, waited about 30sec and rebooted the system again.
BTW while waiting those 30 secs, a notice appeared which said " Your boot animation was modified"

Thanks in advance

I would clear up boot animation first using bootanimation_clear.zip file. Just rename your current file and upload as before. Once you have that done, try again with regular file and maybe try few different animations as well.

Hi RedErik,
I did what you suggest to do and no results. I can only see my custom boot image. Do you think I have to go for an upgrade or factory settings?

Thanks in advance

I've seen some units being very picky about what gets loaded. I will repack all animations with WinRAR and let you know when it's done, hopefully it will work then.

Hi RedErik,
I tried the NBT M and didn't work. Even the boot image didn't change my custom one. I unzipped NBT M and tried the splash file alone and the boot image changed.
I am giving this information so that you can pick what is going wrong. Just to remind you that the boot image time is longer than before. In my opinion, the boot image is using the boot animation time too.

Thanks

Hang on, so how do you instal this animation? You are supposed to create an OEM folder on your USB stick and copy bootanimation.zip file to it.

So you are saying that I need to unzip the NBT M folder and copy the bootanimation.zip file only into the OEM folder?

Nice... I would've been quicker and saved me an hour of pointless work with redoing animation if you've read the instructions in the first place 🤷

Hi,
Sorry for taking some of your precious time. I am using NBT M boot animation and I unzipped it to see what it consists of. If I want to modify by open (with paint) the only image in the folder part1 by adding my name below the word "Welcome", is that possible. If yes, are there any actions to take to zip it again?

Thanks in advance

Hi RedErik,
I saw your BMW Android head unit E92 boot animation on YouTube and I have E92. Do I have to pay for it?

Thanks in advance

Yes, I make car specific animation on request. By car specific I mean I make a model that reflects your exact car including all the mods you've done to it.

Hi, to give you any sort of a price I would need to see the car first. All my car models reflect actual cars with options, mods etc. The more complex model, the more I charge for it. If you're interested please send me an email with a few pics of your car and I'll get back to you - info@rederik.co.uk

And how did you manage to install this head unit in your E34? 👀
