B58 coolant level sensor

Does anyone know where the coolant level sensor is?
It appears my 'gauge' is broken and its just floating in the reservoir.

Am I able to easily clip it back on?
Is the sensor attached to the gauge, as the low coolant message popped up too.

The large tank has a sensor attached to the bottom of the reservoir. The small tank does not have a sensor.

I'm not sure that the indicator can be clipped in but a replacement reservoir isn't too expensive. You should really have it and not rely on the sensor.
