Cool - thanks for the info. Too bad they didn't catch the issue before releasing them...

Could just be me. I'll be sure to let you know how it works out.

Anyone else installing these things yet?

What was the problem exactly and what was the remedy?

Ideas on how to get the ID of springs w/o taking them out? I've got the M-perf suspension.

You mean internal diameter, right? With the springs mounted, you could measure the outside circumference and do a little math to figure the ID (then subtract 2x the thickness of the spring for ID)

Here's an online converter to automate the math...

I'd love to get an update on these camber plates. I have new Motion Control coilovers in the box waiting to go on once the damn snow stops in Chicago and when I know there is a well sorted camber plate. Do we know what the "remedy" is?

They did a slight redesign, and the new "street" version of the plates (with full suspension travel range retained, and apparently with the noise issue addressed) should be out in a couple weeks.

With more caster are you able to feel bumps and tire grip transmitted through the steering wheel? I can't feel it at all with the stock setup. Everyone blames EPS for this, but I've always wondered if it was just a lack of caster.

I'm not a suspension expert but I suspect the minimal feel you are describing has less to do with caster and more to do with an overall soft suspension. Camber plates, when properly set, should increase grip on corning but not necessarily feel unless you move to a firmer suspension.

Not sure how much "feel" it adds, but more positive caster does add a bit of heft to the steering, and more importantly it improves straight line tracking and high speed stability. It also improves cornering effectiveness, as it increases tire lean (almost like having more negative camber) as the steering angle is increased.

The effects are all positive.

GC is still in the redesign process on these-hopefully they'll get something out the door sooner rather than later

Talked with them a few weeks ago - they're close on the "Street" plates

Street meaning for std spring diameter, fixed spring perch

I got the "Street" plates installed today and I am getting this clunk noise...I would have to call and find out. Just my guess though, it sounds like bearing moving around.

Crap...I've been holding out to order these as soon as the redesign was finalized, with high hopes that they nailed it this time.
Please keep us posted on what you find out regarding this clunk.

Their new plates, or a set of the above? Also, who sold 'em to you?

Sounds like this is very normal on the ground control plates with spherical bearings...
