Dealer Recommendation in Mass
Hi All,
I'm on the hunt for my second BMW, is there a dealer located in Mass that you would recommend? I get the feeling that people are not always "open" to talk about their dealer experience but the reason i'm asking is because I don't trust www.dealerrater.com. They tend to delete bad reviews and it reads like everyone has a terrific experience wherever they go...Google also hosts reviews but not enough in my opinion. Thanks in advance for your help! |

Depends where you are in the State. I used to swear by BMW of Peabody. I still love their service department the best but my last deal was at Herb Chambers strictly because it was more convenient. At HC you'll be treated by a number but I was still able to negotiate. They also tend to have a lot of leverage with tri-state dealers when it comes to dealer swaps.

I visited both Herb Chambers BMW in Boston and BMW of Peabody and hands down Peabody has better customer service. I think HC is able to negotiate, but the sales are high pressure.
Happy to share my entire experience with you and my reps name, just let me know. |

Thanks danbest6. So far it seems that BMW of Shrewsbury and BMW of Sudbury are offering me the best deal but discussions are still ongoing. I will note that the people at Shrewsbury are very transparent and not pushy at all.

So I spent a good part of the afternoon yesterday negotiating with Peabody. While we didn't reach an agreement, they have definitely have a good staff. Very profesional and not pushy at all. The only advice I can give is that one should know their NUMBERS like the back of their hands! It's true for Peabody just like it is for any other dealer, and if you do not pay attention they will always try to shove a couple hundred bucks here and there. Still on the hunt, hopefully I can order by the end of this month.

For what it's worth, I live in NH and just ordered mine last week from Tulley BMW in Nashua, NH. I got the car at invoice which was basically a 7% discount across the board.
Just food for thought...Tully is just over the boarder into NH from MA so if your willing to drive a bit, might be worth it....and the no sales tax. Good luck |

Congrats on your new 135i! I wish I could go to south carolina and do what you are but unfortunately, im in England at the moment on a work visa and actually have to coordinate picking up my car when it comes in for that reason....im just happy to be getting it finally! Enjoy yours though and maybe we'll cross paths in NH or MA at a meet in the future.

Want to share my experience with a Sales person.
I know and I know Herb Chember are not easy, specially on their price with something called "Smart Pricing", but I found this excellet sales person who helped me get thru those issue and get me a 2013 335i EURO delivery the way I want on my terms, and I want to share his information to whom really wants to deal with an energetic sales person, who can go after your questions, get the job done, provide you quick follow-ups and go the extra mile if needed.
BMW of Sudbury - Michael Louis Call their dealer and ask for him, he works per appointment, make yours and you will not regret. Tell him that Theo recommended on this forum. |

First bmw was at Peabody back in 2005...not so great but they do have a nice service dept
Order a m235 at Norwood then end up cancelling...stay far away from these clowns Got the car at HC with less of a discount but a better trade-in and my CA was great (no bullsh1t and treated properly)

I just got my car. I went to BMW norwell, BMW sudbury. Very nice people. But I ended up getting my car through bestbuyleasing.com. Sales guy was Michael. Got my car for a lot less compared to sudbury and norwell, but they were all nice to my son and I when we went looking.
