Radio stays on when the car is off. Can this be changed?
This is a noobish question but I can't seem to find the answer in the owner's manual. I have a 2020 F32 that I just recently bought. Still figuring out the various features.
When I shut off the ignition and open the door, the radio stays on. I have to hit the start/stop button one more time, with my foot off the clutch, to get the radio to turn off. (If the clutch is in when I press the start/stop button to turn off the radio, it restarts the engine.) On my previous car, a 2013 E92, the radio would shut off as soon as I opened the door. Is there a setting somewhere on my F32 that will shut off the radio when the car is off and the door is opened? |

I think you need to code that out. On my 2016 it was this:
FEM_BODY,3020,TCM_LOGIC_R_OFF_DOOR,aktiv,Turns off radio and navigation when the driver door is opened. |

I don't bother going through the second step to turn it off. When you close the door and lock the car the radio will go off. I use that feature to remind me to lock the car. If you don't lock the car the radio will turn off in five minutes or so.

+1 to coding it out. It also keeps your bluetooth phone calls going too, sometime rehijacking several minutes after you've left the car. Leads to some awkward calls My garage is next to my office so has happened a couple times.

It's a feature, not a fault. As has been mentioned, it also keeps the Bluetooth live, which is fine with me as I detest sitting in a car with the the motor running just to stay on a call. I was raised in the UK with their gas prices. I always lock my car when it's in the garage to prevent battery drain, so no danger of the car hijacking my calls.

I just press the start stop button twice when I'm exiting my car to kill the radio.
