Rattle / Creaking Centre Console
I picked up a new 430GC two weeks ago and have started to notice a creaking sound from the centre console area which is starting to drive me mad
Anyone have any ideas / experience or is straight back to the dealer to sort Thanks again |

Turn the radio up!
Seriously though the F3*/8* does like to rattle and creak I just learned to live with them as they came and went randomly.

Roo12 has a car that rattles, it’s not good.
He needs some positive advice, like I’m sure the dealer will fix it or mine did that it was the sat nav that needed padding etc. |

Depends if its original warranty or AUC though - original warranty period covers it, AUC does not.
I'd still have to get it looked at - I need mine to go in for a rattly bootlid. |

Take it to the stealers. Pronto.
I've always used a trick I was told years ago: get some cheap dashboard spray, stuff with silicon in it. Spray a load of it into the cap until you have liquid in there then dribble that into the joints on the dash or whatever is rattling. It gets right in there and dries as a lubricant stopping squeaks and rattles. I'm one of the lucky few, 5k miles in and only had to fix the door seals so far

Finally took it in today and dash, glove box and passenger front wing have been stripped and I'm in a courtesy car - not overjoyed on a 6 week old car

Had this on my X3.
Managed to isolate it by establishing the conditions that trigger it. For me that was:- Sport Mode = Stiffer Suspensions 50-60mph rough road = seemed to generate the frequency to rattle I then pressed on each individual piece of trim on the console and found the piece!!! Once you hear it ... it's the only thing you hear
