330d xdrive M Performance Brake Kit

Anyone know where is best to get BMW M PERFORMANCE BRAKE KIT, my car is due brake discs and pads.
Dealers said about a grand, if i'm paying that id rather get the upgraded brakes and fit myself before getting dealer to code them. Also id like to hear opinions on color choice, i like the orange.
I recall someone putting on here Phil at Cotswold BMW was good to deal with, does anyone have an email or phone number for him.

I'd like to upgrade mine to the m-calipers. Dark blue is my favourite. Have you tried ebay?

Dunny330d I recently upgraded to M-Performance brake kit, I had a quote for supply only from my local dealer and checked it through the supplying dealer for the facebook page of the ex-member who shall never be mentioned - they were comparable @ £1,600ish for discs, calipers and pads all round.

Fittting was c. £500 from local dealer - which ended up taking them 3 days due to an issue with one of the rear brake unions - they had to get a "special tool" in - it was either a can of WD40 or a hammer but they got it sorted in the end.

If I could have been bothered changing the discs myself the coding would have been the easy bit - sitting in the front of the car with a laptop and Rheingold vs clambering aroung under the car with jars of brake fluid and pumping devices !!!

In my experience, and coming from standard 330d non-m-sport brakes, they have less initial bite but far greater overall stopping power and much better "controlability" during braking. It's a bit un-nerving initially.

I went for the gold colour - which is quite an understated shade, more yellow really. IMO on my Minerale Grigio it was the best option - red would have been a bit loadsamoney, which left a close call between the orange and gold. On EB i'd probably have gone orange for the contrast.
