Got Ivory, looks lovely but would not spec again as they are not that forgiving and show dirt and marks easily - even using Dr Leather

Goddamn just been told my second choice coupe (black, coral red, HUD) has gone as well.

I'm switching to looking for a GC potentially as well, there is more dealer support and seems to be a few more in the system.

if it doesn't come off I will leave it. I know there was mention that deals could be even better in January but is that likely as dealers seem to be eating into almost their entire margin already? Maybe even more support from BMW or something? I'd prefer not to wait in truth, but lesson learned.

Seems like strange BMW economics at play, lets stimulate demand and then control supply / not meet the demand.

I do wonder at times

Yeah don't panic buy into something you're not 100% on.

Not that I did, but when I picked up the X5 on the final 0% impulse offer there, stock was fairly limited but there's now people getting the last of the M50d's for not much more than I paid for my 30d and that was already a good deal!

I'm sure there'll be a car you want at some point, so keep your powder dry until then.

been told there are 10 440i GCs in the entire network to pick from. Now obviously there will be more of the vanilla petrol/diesel engines, and the offer has been running for 2 weeks, but still, seems a bit daft.

Some of them come with some silly options as well - M Seat Belts but no folding mirrors!?!?

lol well I had 500 down on one and that went, and then reserved the coral red one and that went (although my deposit hadn't gone through thankfully).

This thread is 10 pages too long, I agreed, and seems to be success stories for other people and an argument about diesel

Luckily for me because the last one I lost should’ve been mine they have allowed me the same deal on a new production car due in December. This meant I could alter a couple of the specs and choose colour etc. Worked out well. Just wondering if I’ve made a mistake getting the ivory leather 😬

440i GC
Carbon Black
Ivory leather
Aluminium carbon with pearl trim
Msport plus
Digital Dash
HUD
Reverse camera
Extended Bluetooth/wireless charging
Adaptive icon headlights
Comfort pack
Black grilles
Electric folding mirrors
Storage pack
Chrome black tips
Etc etc

8k mikes
5k down
£385 per month

Reading this am I better not putting the 5k in?

Currently in a 218i courtesy car until it arrives in December as I’ve sold my 335d
Love the sound of this car. Given the choice I would have gone with the ivory leather, but I hated look of the lower white dash. If you spec the leather dash option (which looks really great by the way, and really lifts the quality of the interior) the lower dash is black. Much better!

I have a pre LCI GC with ivory and the lower dash is black. It looks the dogs. The colour coded dash with both coral and ivory was one thing that stopped me getting the 4C originally and later chopping the car for an LCI later. Glad I decided to wait for the new G series.

I found the ivory easy to keep too - Dr Leather Dye block to start and a wipe every few weeks with Dr Leather wipes.

That is a deal.
I wouldn't put any more in. £385pm is not a stretch and any spare can be invested for a better return - or spent on an M kit, springs....

430i M Sport Gran Coupe
- Snapper Rocks Blue
- Black Dakota Leather with Blue Stitching
- Sports Automatic Transmission
- Electric Glass Sunroof
- Split Folding Rear Seats
- Lumbar Support for Driver and Front Passenger
- Active Cruise Control
- BMW Icon Adaptive LED Headlights
- Digital Cockpit
- Advanced Parking Package
- Driver Comfort Package
- Dynamic Package
- Innovation Package
- M Sport Plus Package

Thoughts? For about £470pm with 2k deposit over 48 months.

Seems overapecced for what I want (msport+, auto, electric seats, digital cockpit, surround view) and still a 4-cyl so although more car for the same money as my 420, I’m not sure

How is the colour?

440i money that I'm afraid.
Paying for options you don't want/need is bonkers.
Option 1 - B58
Option 2 MS + pack
all other options are, optional...

Exactly this - I am trying to do away with unnecessary options but the choices aren't great. M Sports + and not much else needed

that 430i will be fast enough, but no sound or atmosphere and for the money a 440i can be had.

Well 440s seem to be running out and that’s already 420 money on my current car!

Yeah just wondered after reading this thread whether to even put the 5k deposit in at all or even a reduced one with higher monthlies......

Genuine M perf kit is getting purchased from another dealer and to be fitted free of charge before I collect the car 👍

Just contemplating some winter tyres.........
Anyone have a suitable set they want rid off

Looks pricey. That's around £510 with nothing in, compared with someone else's 440 above at around £490 with nothing in

As an example, spec a 440i cg for 50k (ish), and you should expect 13-14k in discounts (6500 bmw and the same from dealer).

So 2k down should mean monthlies of 450 max, probably a bit less.

No point in putting deposit in at 0%. All it does is create a placebo effect where you think your monthly payment is lower. You'd may as well stick your £5k in a bank account and draw out each month £100 to make it feel lower, but earn some interest on the rest of your own money, instead of BMW getting it.
