Anybody want my M40i for a couple of weeks?

After going over my ankle last night and breaking some bones in my foot, looks like the car will be an ornament on the drive for a while!

So annoying!!!!

I'll look after it for you

Damn that's bad luck with the ankle. All the best for recovery. I'll bring some Tiger Balm when collecting.

Bad luck, fingers crossed for a swift recovery.

On the positive, whenever I leave my 40i for a week or two I appreciate it all the more on return and fall in love with it all over again. I imagine that the B58 makes a brilliant motor for the X3.

Bad luck on the ankle and i hope it gets better soon.

I'll have the M40i though as its infinitely better that the Vauxhall Mokka i have whilst i wait for my 330D to come back after the EGR debacle. I can be with you in a couple of hours just give me a shout 😂

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.

Good opportunity to teach/condition your left foot to accelerate and brake.

Ouch - done that myself, not nice. Hope it heals soon. On a happier note, I'm just round the corner from you, so if you could just slip the keys through the letter box.....

Sounds better than plaster
I had a plaster cast on for six weeks during which time your calf and ankle muscles atrophy which means that you're more vulnerable to re-injury when it comes off and you have to do physio as well
Good luck!

Looks like there’s a few after your car.

Think you should auction it off to the highest/ best offer.

So I’ll go one better than the freebie guys above and raise the stakes by a Thai Ladyboy to
“ massage” the sore areas.

Hope you get well soon.

Sorry to hear that. I broke my ankle in April. Am back cycling and running but not without issues I'm afraid. At least you have the boot and not plaster. I had the boot as I have to fly a lot, and it means you can have a bath etc. Lastly, invest in some crutch handle comfy covers, makes a big difference!

So what happened to the foot? How did you break the bones? Did the car go over it? How did that happen?

I would love to say it was some tough accident. But was as simple as crossing a road in a dark area and foot went into a rut and over I went. Heard a "crack" and rest is history.

Just a small accident which leaves the family unit and work a shambles! Will hopefully start being more mobile.

That's some bad luck. Very tough in a family situation, hopefully you get some mobility back with the boot and crutches - enough to at least make the work situation less of a concern. Fingers crossed for you

It's not illegal though is it? (Assuming you are competent in driving an auto with your left foot)

A week into my broken ankle we had an emergency dash to the hospital as the baby tried to starve himself to death. Boot off and 30 minutes of mega pain I'll never forget!
