Just picked up a Metallic Grey in Modern Trim
Hey guys, just wanted to drop a line and let y'all know I picked up a Metallic Grey in Modern trim.
It has the ungainly front bumper part which I hope to remove and fwiw it true that the new leather smell is muted (I'll zaino it tomorrow). I'm downgrading from an Audi A7 (long story) and the interior is not as nice as the A7 (as expected), but the tech is much better (LOVE mog and BMW apps). Cant wait to post more here and enjoy the car (already put 500 miles on it today ) |

ugh, just realized that the front license plate holder on the car I picked up won't come off. I thought it was just bolted on, but apparently you have to take off the entire bumper to take it out.
You guys getting your cars made after 01/15 are lucky, they'll be a bunch of us (under a 100 I'm guessing) who'll be stuck with the front license plate holder. My car was probably made in Nov/Dec. Cant wait for BMW to send me a survey so that I can give them hell for this monstrosity. |

Yeah you're right, it's missing those 2 options as well. I had blind spot detection on the A7 and never really thought it was that useful. Driving in traffic those lights are always going off to the point where you start ignoring them eventually.

Now my only issue is the ZPS (sound) package. I cannot decide. The reason is not money (well not totally), but that is for another thread. |

Getting the Driver's Assistance package deletes the storage cubby on the bottom of the dash to the left of the driver. That's the reason I'm not even considering it. The storage cubby is more useful to me over the long run..
