295 30 18s up front on an F30 335
Hi, i searched the forum and wasn't able to find any information on if anyone has done this.
I currently run a 275-35-18 on 18x9.5 wheels all round without issue and I am looking to go to 295 wide in all corners. Has anyone done this before? I know its doable in the rear, but the front is really questionable. I'm not concerned if it pokes, but it can't rub. my fenders are rolled so that will help but my concern is the inner fender liner and sway bar when turning. This is for an autocross application in case you are wondering. thank you in advance. |

I don't see how it would be possible to fit a 295 in front, I'm surprised a 275 fits. There would have to be a significant amount of poke to the point I doubt camber could fix it. Additionally, 285 is the widest size recommended for a 9.5" rim. You would have significant lateral flex I'd imagine the tire would flex into the strut.

at the moment neither do i. I have been running 275 wide for a couple of years now but it should be mentioned that the car has stiffer springs and sway bars that mitigate roll which prevents rubbing. I also have a decent amount of camber to tuck them in...
i think 275 is the widest i'd go on a 9.5 wide wheel...i can step up to a 10.5 to run a 285 or a 295 if i can make them fit. thank you. I appreciate the feedback. |
