Selling an F33 BMW …leased through BMW
I know (think) I know the answer to this but …..I want to buy out the lease from BMW on wife’s car then trade it. . Can the dealer who will facilitate the transaction simply buy the car from BMW . BTW..it is a tastefully modified 2019 F33 cab..stage 2 M package, front/ rear lip/ valence as well as cabs in carbon, interior trimmed with Mancini mats, winter tires on OEM rims, Michelin PS4 on Alpina rims- conservatively lowered..35000 KM. Black on blue leather- gorgeous car. Will transact in April when her other car comes out of storage. Opinion to asking price?

Plan would be to agree with on a sale price with a private buyer and ask the dealer to facilitate the sale (paperwork). I have a number of conservative cosmetic mods on the car that would be shameful to remove.

Not can - the dealer has to buy the car from BMW before it is sold to you.
BMW Financial Services > BMW dealership > buyer of lease. |

hey if you're still in the process of thinking about buying out the lease then resell for a profit, if your lease is not ending soon I suggest you reselling it to any bmw dealership that gives you the highest profit. they'll exclude the tax if a bmw dealership buys it from you. but for a private sale you'll need to buyout the remaining residual value plus taxes and $1000 buyout fee then the new owner needs to pay taxes on the new sale too.
