Spotify
I've been using Spotify for a couple of months and initially it used to start playing automatically as soon as I got in the car and it picked up the Bluetooth connection. Recently however it seems to have stopped doing that, and although my phone is connected it won't play, it just displays Untitled Artist and Untitled Track and doesn't play unless I physically start intervening on my phone, which given I just have it in my pocket is a bit of a problem!
Any idea why it would have stopped auto playing and how I can get it back again? It's a 2015 F30, whichever version of iDrive that is. It's just playing over Bluetooth audio, not using the Connected App or anything. |

Not sure if its an issue with Spotify as my ID7 has been hit and miss last few days. Like yours it wont always load and play. My car has the built in SIM for this hence why i think it may be Spotify..

Might sound a silly question, but do you keep the app open running in the background on your phone? or do you always completely close it?
I used to always close/kill my apps on my phone (an OCD thing but I told myself to save battery) but then it wouldn't auto play in the car. Now I always leave the app running in the background and when I get in the car it auto plays via bluetooth. |

I find it works straight away if I haven't played any other audio through my phone since I last used Spotify through the car but if I've been on something like YouTube it will try and play the YouTube video audio. Basically it will play through Bluetooth the last thing you have played on your phone.
