Mike@x-ph.com Is this due to the slight difference in MAF sensor location, or is it a flow difference?

How would a tune fix this issue? AFR adjustments?
Get a JB4 and unplug MAF sensor to fix the issue

Anyone install any of these intakes on an Activehybrid 3? Curious if anyone's running an Intake with or without issues. Would love to get one for that sound

So do you recommend it?

How did it go later on? Any issues?

My experience with the BMS intake (along with many others on the forums) was getting a CEL from the MAF sensor while driving. I also had a very rough start up on occasions, and uneven idle for a minute as the car searched for the proper idle after driving. These all seemed to be related to the MAF sensor, but in my opinion, I would rather leave all sensors connected to the engine as I cannot see a reason why they would be in place if there was not some sort of importance to them. The issues I experienced were all within a week of driving, and therefore I sold the intake and bought a K&N drop in filter. This is just my personal experience though. One tip, no offense to anyone on here, but take advice for buying parts from people who aren't trying to sell them to you, as there can be some slight biases.
So, are you saying it's fine to drive with the CEL on?

I've had my CTS Turbo intake on for over 2 years without one single CEL or any drivability problems. It's a great intake and not expensive. It sounds great as well. I would definitely recommend it.

I made a custom ram intake and moved the MAF sensor closer to the front of the car. Definitely causes air plausibility errors and lean conditions. It causes a rough idle when cold and has caused my car to stall. It requires coding and scaling the threshold of the sensors limits.

I've got the the BMS intake. I installed it 2 months ago on my DD. It's the only mod I have on my car currently. No CEL thus far, and the sound is awesome, but I too, get a rough idle on cold start for 8-10 seconds.

My car isn't tuned yet, so hoping this goes away when I Go BM3 S2 next month with my bolt-on kit on its way.
