Sorry for the back to back question...
I use OTS BM3 St 2 map for my stage 2 N55 now (upgraded FMIC, exhaust, chargepipe, air intakes, DV+) with stock turbo. Any idea how much boost BM3 st 2 is on? When you upgrade to Pure St 2 turbo, BM3 recommends switching to St 2H map. Any idea what boost this is on? Is there a way to regulate boost independently without switching maps? by a flick of a button from the car's cabin preferrably... |

I am wondering about this as well. I've been eyeing the new version of the Pure and was thinking of going that route, does anyone know if the XDI pump for the B58 has been tested with any of these or if that pump is still going to be an option for us?

Guy asked Big turbo vs pure turbo and no real comparison was given..lol
Just opinions. Anyone have any hard data? I'm seriously considering getting a big boost 3.4 but I'd love to know more. Cheers. |

He seems to love the kit, but his motor is currently getting built and I'm assuming something went south with the internals:

It all depends on what your goals are, fueling requirements, and how your tuner tunes your car. As mentioned previously a proper single turbo setup will always be the best compared to a hybrid but it really depends on what you are looking for. If you want to have low WGDC and low PSI making the same power as a hybrid on 26psi for an example, a single turbo would be the best bet (while you sacrifice a bit of lower end torque and makes the car kinda lazy in low rpms) and boost usually hit around 3800rpms. I went with a hybrid (DAW V2.5+) personally as my state has emission laws but also I wanted a turbo that would drive similarly to the stock turbo and be able to net me conservative gains on a fuel blend (E30, E40, E50) without pushing the stock motor/trans to its limits. Especially with the ultra flow and pure 850 they have enough flow in them to go beyond what the stock motor and trans is capable of and I don't plan to go past 600-650whp so a hybrid was good enough for my goals. Who wouldnt mind a big single turbo though? Both are great options depends on what you want to do with the car long term |

100-200km/h in 6.85 seconds at 4500ft elevation during a hot summer day with my Pure850 on E60 custom tune. I imagine Big Boost kits will be capable of better numbers than my 850. IMO if you go for pure get the 800 if you're going for the 850 just get the big boost kit because I don't hit load target until 4k rpm with the Pure850.
