Detailing questions

About to go over the car with a DAS6 & would like to know a few things:

1. Do I put 4/5 spots for every section(2'x2')
2. How often do I clean the pad using the brush
3. How many pads do I use for a complete car
4. I have hex logic orange, green,white,black, & red, paint work looks pretty good so will prob use green pad with CG V36 followed by black or red using poor boys glaze.

Get yourself a Das6 with something like a green CG pad & V36 Polish, idiot proof.

what i meant was; did you put 4 or 5 drops on every 2x2 section? how often did you need to clean the pads? how many pads did you end up using?

I used 5 drops each time, cleaned the pad with a new very firm toothbrush each time & used 2 red pads for the whole car & 1 white for the 2nd stage. The CG V38 really brought out the vibrant colour.

Turned out very nice. That is a beautiful color. I really like Purple Haze but it's a bit on the soft side. Try Blue Velvet as its on the hard side and will be a little more durable. I've layered purple over blue and a great result as well. [IMG][/IMG]

Its an individual colour called smoked topaz metallic.
