F31 Insurance

Just wondering how much people are paying/using for for their F31 insurance?

Getting a F31 330d in a few weeks and the insurance is proving more expensive that I thought. Clean history/full no claims is coming in at around £450 with a £650 excess.

I had a look at one of those comparison sites. The prices ranged from £327.54 excess £250 that was Sainsbury's, all the way up to over £3,000 with someone I've never heard of. I have mine with DirectLine for about £550 excess of £850 but then my car did cost me north of £55k.

On a 325d f31:
The best offer I have had so far £284 with legal cover and windscreen.
Excess:
Voluntary: £250.00
Compulsory: £150.00
Total: £400

I looked at the 330d and this was £449 for me.

Have you tried the BMW insurance via Allianz - I got a really good deal for about £500 with them and included protected no claims and only £150 excess.
I have had a claim in the last 5 years and have 3 points on my license.

Just tried them. Came out more expensive than anywhere else! £1,200 for some reason.

The guy I spoke to was a little confused himself what was pushing the premium up so much.

I moved 15 miles up the road, into a new development, and got shafted +£200 on my insurance premiums. I can only think it is due to the postcode not having any 'crime rating'?

Grrr. £680 here, with £600 excess, but only two years no claims.

Business use, with spouse included. I'm sure a lot of it is down to post code.

Was looking at quotes today for the on order 320d F31 - getting quites for around £300, £200 excess - doesn;t seem brilliant compared to some of the 330d quotes but suits me - considerably less than my Lexus IS220d for some reason - perhaps as f1swk said because the 320d is an estate?

I wish I could pay mine any ranges in this thread for my f31 328i in Sydney, Australia. I lived within 10 km of CBD on street parking, quotes from A$1500-3000 (£875-1750) with $850 (£500) excess. The car on road is north of $90k.

Ours is £260 in Outer London with £1k excess. Includes protected NCB and legal protection with two names drivers (me and her) and parked off road in a very low crime area. I suspect no claims in quarter of a century helps.
