Exterior Mods... Let's See Some Pics of your F30! **UPDATE pg. 6**

Hello all,

After browsing this section of the forum for a bit, I am feeling myself wanting a bit more of an aggressive look for my F30. Whether it be front splitters, a more aggressive spoiler, side skirts, debadging, window tint, whatever, I want to see what you guys are running and help me piece together the look I'm going for. I can't even put it to words really, I'd just love to see what your guys' cars look like and maybe I'll get my idea together, so please post pics!! Also, I don't want to retro-fit any F80/Msport parts, so as to not look like a poseur who is trying to pass his 328i off as an m3 . I'll post below what my car looks like now, maybe so you guys can give me some ideas. Fire away. thank you!!

Sorry, resolution got crushed from some reason. They do the job! Just basic exterior mods. Not pictured is the quad exhaust. Need to stop being lazy and get a lip, side skirts, etc.

nice! very clean look. I'm thinking about a lip too, just not sure how it would look on a non-msport car

I'm sure it won't look too bad. Could also swap on the m-sport bumper! That's what I did. I had a bare stock, baseline model when I first got the car. I've only done the front bumper so far. Haven't decided whether or not I'll do the rear.

I could indeed, a simple front lip might be more cost effective though lol. what do you think of the high kick m3/4 style spoiler? too aggressive? https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-3-Serie....c100675.m4236

Hey there love the shoes, you may want to consider lowering your ride to perfect the stance.

Here are some options for you (although you may be better off buying a new car, rather than go the full extreme):

I did...
New front bumper
New back bumper + diffuser
New side skirts
New side extentions
New kidney grills
New cf front lip
New cf mirror caps and trunk/ roof spoiler
New MP brake system
New MP exhaust
New LCI taillight retrofit
Debadged the car with exception of MP rocker panel decals

damn that looks good. you just sold me on the high kick spoiler and de-badging. probably won't be buying a new car though, I'm looking to stay out of the 30k range for better looks are those OEM msport bumpers front and rear? they look a bit different. maybe just the angles. either way looks good.

Take a stroll on eBay and look for ikonmotorsport. They sell an excellent quality aftermarket carbon fibre product. I picked up my trunk and roof spoiler off of them. Perfect weaves and clear finish. No issues whatsoever with fitment.

The spoiler would not be a high kick, it's an F 80 style spoiler (aka m4 spoiler).

With regards to the bumpers they are aftermarket. Interesting you are the first person that's mention that€. I park next to a friend with a 340 and they honestly look identical.

true, I guess the f80 is just high kick relative to what I have now. yah I don't know about the bumpers, they look great, but I can't put my finger on what might be slightly different about them compared to OE. they might be identical and just the angle of the picture makes them look different to me tbh.

Lol.. You went with the F80 M3 style spoiler eh? This was you right?

Also, I don't want to retro-fit any F80/Msport parts, so as to not look like a poseur who is trying to pass his 328i off as an m3

In the end get whatever makes you happy because in the end it's your car, not anyone else's. Here's mine with my M3 style front and side, and M Sport rear:

Wanted the M3 rear too but didn't want to do custom exhaust so compromised instead. Will be getting the blue M Sport brakes installed whenever I get around to picking them up.

hahahahaha, definitely got me there, lol. made an impulse buy after seeing the post above by KC328_F30 and his rear end setup. looked so good I had to. In my defense, I feel like a spoiler isn't too too m3-esqe, even though it is an F80 part. I meant more along the lines of m badges, exhaust conversions, hood, bumpers etc. (even though I'm starting to change my mind a bit after seeing your guys' posts). don't get me wrong, I love the way your car looks, very nice setup, just not sure if it's the route I want to go. like you and BunkerJ said, it's your car and if you like it, by all means, do it! I appreciate all the input guys. more pics and suggestions if you have 'em!

Everything is better than stock really. I don't know what they were thinking with this pinched front look.

agreed, most aftermarket exterior parts are an improvement for these cars. I think the base bumpers could have been better for sure, especially the rear, but I actually really like the way the F30 front end looks overall.

Honestly, so long as you don't badge it as a M3, I'm okay with it. I'm not super for crossing the parts, but in the end, it's your car. As long as your aren't badging it as a M3 or telling people it's one, I'm cool with it.

yah, I can agree with that. no problem with other people doing, I just don't know that I want to myself. the only thing I would actually have a gripe with on some one else's car is, like you said, up-badging. there's a 528i I see all the time around me that wears an M5 badge front and rear, no other modifications except for what look like spray painted OE base 5 series wheels. I look forward to the day he tries to tell me he drives an m5...

Blacked out front grills
Black chrome exhaust tips (BMS)
De-badged

The third pic shows before tint
All of this prior to 1000 miles on the car lol
I also have Weathertech floor mats in interior and jb+ that i just ordered going in next week. I have the full alcantara trim including shifter and e brake not yet installed and waiting to do it.

Went from stock twin tips on my 330i to dual tips (340 MPE) with M performance diffuser. (Mode carbon spoiler as an added bonus) This also sounds as aggressive as it looks!
