More details please? As what your knowledge is on this.
His knowledge extends no further than what he sees in the pictures. I'd say $11k is reasonable, and I'd only be concerned about the structural integrity of the car if the frame is bent, which doesn't appear to be the case. But all I see is the pictures as well. With a replacement value between $17 and $20k no insurance company is going to spend more than perhaps $14k to repair it.

My knowledge is 15 years in the collision industry and a platinum I-Car certified estimator, but thanks for assuming

No, $11,000 is nowhere near enough to fix this vehicle per oem procedures. Everybody take a minute to look up the John Eagle Honda Fit lawsuit. Improper repairs are very serious and very dangerous.

Op, what I’m referring to specifically are little details such as headliner, pillar trim, seat belts, srs module, pre and post scans. Also the important stuff such as the pillar and inner quarter, which have very specific repair procedures from BMW. If sectioning procedures are not followed, or heat is applied to repair a structural panel (heat is never allowed) the car will not perform as designed in the event of another accident. The severity of that accident could mean serious injury or worse.

This car would be an instant total at my shop and I would never even attempt to repair it and put a customer back in it.

This is what I put together based off what I can see in the pictures. Once it's torn down and pending any suspension damage from where the wheel was I hit I would anticipate another $3-5k, possibly more depending on the severity of the structural damage behind the quarter.

More than likely the car is totaled but have the car towed to an approved BMW body shop.

I want it gone, it’s at my body shop and my insurance adjuster is handling it. Other company accepted liability.

Hope that happens for ya. I would also rather take my time and find something else that doesn't have a major accident. Good luck!

Bodyshop sent over authorization to fix at$13,500.
Called adjuster added salvage value to estimate and got it totaled. Phew. Close one.

I love the 4 series model but the 6 is a pretty nice replacement. My 335i was totaled a year ago and I purchased the 440i I have now. Went same route, purchased used from a non-BMW dealer.

So I now have the 640. They kept the ribbon...435 is lighter quicker and way more engaging and fun to drive. That said the 640 is at least 10x higher quality feeling. I did not have leather on the 435. I also have 4 doors but it’s small inside. Will really miss the 435! And the forum is much better and more involved.

Bastards kept the ribbon 😱😱😱

Jokes aside, enjoy the 6. And in terms of driving, does it drive more aggressive (like the 4) or more like a 5 series (sedan)?

My company Westfield has clearly been looking out for the other Company. They, Ohio Mutual admitted liability and my company Westfield have been jerking me around since the minute the car was totaled.
Bad Faith Complaint coming.

Congrats, what a wonderful color! Love many things on 6 GC, in terms of design it's the most beautiful bimmer since Z8 for me. I am sad I simply cannot live with it's size and limited interior space
