exterior trim - warranty
Hi all,
See attached images. Bought the car from BMW main dealer, full years warranty and paid for additional 2 years on top too. Spoke to the service advisor, he stated “exterior parts are not covered”. I understand if bumped, scratched, hit, dents etc - but this is a window trim coming away. Thoughts? Thank you. |

It probably just needs a fastener replaced. According to realoem.com it's actually heavy duty velcro, BMW part # 51377164933. The cost is perhaps a quid.

I believe trim and seals are specifically excluded from the AUC/aftermarket warranties in the UK.
If it's a fairly recent purchase, then I'd be speaking to the supplying dealer about a fix...or at least some 'goodwill' contribution. |
