Have been monitoring the prices since a few weeks. Was about 220€ initially, up to 260-280€ some time ago (maybe due to short supply because of Corona) and now back to 240€.

They have replied to my MCU update request, asking why I want updated MCU.

I said because mine is from December 2019, and I know that there are updates.

Jan, Feb, March and April that I know of.

So they said they will reply to me tomorrow.

I contacted them today about where the update was, they said still working on it and be patient and i will get informed.

To be honest, it will never come. They are telling me to wait since February now.

I just got sent the MCU file (no idea of the date until I flash the unit as they just sent the bin file (not zipped or rar'd).

I also have the PIN number, so will let you all know what's what when I try it later.

Hi, I just wondered if anyone is successfully using the front and rear cameras or are seeing the issue I have above?

So the MCU they sent me was 20.4.2.14

I have sent this to Firefly1337 to post on the 1st page when he has time.

The pin for Andream units (which also works for Carlinkit 9.2.2.yl.b software update screen) is 2863.

The carlinkit software still didn't allow carplay to work on my Andream unit even with the latest MCU.

But all the options are exactly the same now with Andream and Carlinkit units, just the icons and system menu colours are different.

Also noticed my car appears to have become a Z4 convertible now.

Now a serious question, is that the default NBT PDC and camera screen? If so how did an MMI update change your car type?

No it's the MMI's own screen as i'm using the Andream reverse camera.

Ok so if using their new update file and MCU and default NBT interface for reverse and PDC, my car should stay the same i suppose.

Nah not really, but there wouldn't be updates unless something was improved (no matter what Andream try and say).

Could you try waze + Spotify skipping a song via tilting idrive controller? (Andream told me they don't support Spotify...)

To be honest, so far my experience was pretty disappointing - from constant crashes (which are especially fun when you trying to navigate in the unfamiliar area) to routing of the phone calls.

Only ever had it happen once not long after I got the unit, but hasn't happened since (touch wood).

What software version are you running ?

I've made just two trips since installing the box, 30 minutes one way each.
CarPlay crashed three times on Google Maps and once on Apple Maps.

From what I've read, black screen of death seems to be CarPlay issue, not the box issue, but who knows...

Ok so you have a Carlinkit unit.

Contact them and ask for the software updates, as there is a newer MCU and the latest software for your unit is 9.2.2.yl.b
