Also considering lowwering with H&R Sport springs?
There is little reason to want to do this unless you prefer the look of 19s over understeer, lower mpg, and the inability to rotate. Will it work?...absolutely, as long as you choose the correct offsets and tire sizes.

But if you go for forged wheels, 19s may be equally heavy or even lighter than 18s.

This is true...I know all about forged...18's square at less than 18lbs each

Yes, with proper rim offsets (i.e. ET30-35 front, ET40-45 rear). 235/40 + 265/35 are the perfect tire sizes both for the width of rims and the x-drive.

I have read through these posts cant figure it out

Hey Guys

I have 19.8.5" ET33/19x9.5" ET37 72.6CB wheel sizes
72.56mm center bore. I have no idea about these things.
I drive a 2018 340xi M sport. I just want to get the correct sizing. Tire rack is saying F: 225/40 R: 255/40

Will these be ok? My biggest thing is just making sure everything rides well. I would like the tire to fill out the wheel well a bit so there isn't a big gap if possible without ruining the ride / x drive

Thank you

If it´s not a typo, then rears should be 255/35. Then you'd be fine.

running 275 rears here on BBS 19' Motorsport wheels and it sits thick and almost flush to the fender without rubbing. Also sitting on Dinan Springs and sway bars without issues. I believe my fronts are 245's and certain rears are 275.

Got a set of Style 197 in 18x8 and 18x8.5 and Tire Rack suggests 235/45 ZR18 for the front and 265/40 ZR18 for rear. Will they fit? It’s a bone stock 2016 F30 xDrive 328i. Going from 17s to 18s for the look an the wheels were a steal at $400.

265/40/18 is too wide for 8.5"

225/45/18, 255/40/18" are oem staggered dsizes for x-drive and fits 8" and 8.5" best.

Hey guys,

I have the F34 330d xdrive with the following square setup

225 50 18

I would like to have a staggered setup as I want wider tyres on the rear.. what is suitable in the 18" rims without causing damage to the AWD transmission

Thanks in advance guys
